AI-Search Lead Generation for B2B: From Answers to Enquiries

AI-search lead generation is the process of turning visibility inside generated answers into a sales conversation. It is not complete when a dashboard reports that a brand was mentioned. A B2B programme needs a path from the buyer's question to evidence, a page, an enquiry, and a measurable handoff to sales.
For considered purchases, buyers often use an AI assistant to frame the category, identify a shortlist, and decide which vendors deserve deeper research. If a supplier is absent from that answer, it may never reach the evaluation stage. If it appears but provides no useful next step, visibility still fails to create pipeline.
The four-stage operating loop
1. SEE the real buyer questions
Start with questions a qualified buyer would ask before contacting sales. A useful baseline records:
- the exact question and market;
- which engines were tested;
- whether the brand appeared and in what position;
- the answer text and returned sources;
- which competitors or alternatives were named.
This evidence is more useful than a single score because it shows where the answer came from and what an engine could not verify.
2. PUBLISH the missing evidence
The baseline should determine what gets produced. A page may need a clear service definition, technical specification, industry use case, implementation explanation, pricing range, or proof statement. Publishing generic articles at volume does not solve a specific evidence gap.
TopGeo uses managed native-domain publishing, which means the pages appear under the customer's agreed domain path while TopGeo hosts and maintains them through its managed edge. The customer's existing site and CMS remain in place.
3. CAPTURE the enquiry
A buyer-ready page needs a conversion path that matches the purchase. Industrial suppliers may need an RFQ form. A SaaS or services company may need a consultation request. The page should ask only for information the sales team can use and clearly state what happens next.
4. DELIVER and measure
Reporting should separate four signals: the AI answer changed, the published page was visited, an enquiry was submitted, and the available referral evidence supports an AI-search connection. These are related but not identical facts.

What a good programme measures
A practical scorecard includes appearance rate, position, citation strength, the specific pages cited, qualified page visits, enquiry conversion, and attribution confidence. It also preserves raw answer captures so a stakeholder can inspect the evidence behind the summary.
Where to start
Choose one market, one high-value offer, and a focused group of buyer questions. Establish the baseline, publish only the pages supported by that evidence, and review movement on a fixed cadence. This produces a smaller but more defensible programme than attempting to cover every engine, geography, and product at once.
